Our life in Kaz

We've noticed when people pass through our bonding room they stop to talk to Cody. They all tickle him while saying something that sounds like "godzilla". Now they are speaking very nicely and we thought we'd like to know what exactly they are saying to him. So today Steve asked Talgat, our translator "What does godzilla mean?"

Talgat replied "OHHH yes, he is a big, scary monster!"

So we've decided we're going to tell the judge on them! How dare they all call our sweet baby Godzilla!

    That's funny - but hope it doesn't stick! Sounds like you are settling into the usual "ground hog day" routine during the bonding period. So glad that things are going well. Cody sounds like he's a great kid. He sure is a cutie!

    Hideki Matsui of the Yankees is known as Godzilla in Japan. Maybe they just think that Cody is going to be an amazing professional baseball player!

    Hey Steve and Julie, it's Brad Meyer. We're so happy for you and Cody!....he is blessed to be coming into such a loving family! We've been following your journey from the web and have been praying hard for you guys along the way....awesome when the prayers are answered! Your positive attitude, patience and strength of faith has been amazing to watch.

    We are so happy for your family. Cody is adorable! You are a strong couple, because this process sounds like it has not been easy. We are definitely praying for you guys everyday. When do you bring the little one home?

    That is a funny story! When I first read it, I thought they were saying "how are you?" There was a toy phone in her baby room that said what sounded like "Allo! Kok-di-lah!" after it rang. Oxana said it was hello, how are you! But maybe it is the big hairy monster ;)

    Steve & Julie: We love all the pictures! Cody is adorable and so blessed to become part of your family. He has no idea how lucky he is- your strength and love has been amazing through this entire journey.
