Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
~ Proverbs 3:5, NLT
Today was a crazy day. We got a call to be ready to go in 20 minutes. I said "where are we going?" He replied "I don't know just be ready." Well after our experiences over the past days we truly had no idea what the heck to expect, but we were as ready as we could be for whatever was in store for us. We went back to the same 2 baby houses in the area. They said possibly some children may have been released from the registry. We saw many kids today and there is one who we are starting to pursue. We have contacted our International Adoption Specialist (Doctor) and need to get some more information but this is a good first step.
We also were able to spend a couple of hours at the mall. It was so nice to finally get out and see something different. We ate pizza!
Also, thanks for the snacks - Jim - slim jims, andy capp hot fries and Lori - rice krispie treats, pringles sticks, hot chocolate and Joyce - oatmeal, mac & cheese and Mimi - hershey bars! We think of you with every grateful bite!
The emails and support from home and across the adoption world have really kept us going. Each morning reading all of the postive comments and knowing how many loving thoughts and prayers are being sent our way truly renews our strength and determination.
We still have a long way to go but at least its a step forward.
Love to all!

A few pictures from the last leg of our trip.
Steve was so proud of his free beer! "no charge, not on Lufthansa - on Lufthansa everything free"
Even with 2 years of planning we had no idea what was in store for us!
Our view.

This is a step in the right direction! Keep the faith! Hugs!

ReplyDeleteYou'll end up with the child that is "right" for you.
Good luck with everything!
If you're in Botakoz Babyhouse. Say Hi to Dr Love for us the parents of Zhanar(Grace)from room #4.
Try the pizza at the Love Cafe (near the Tsum) if you haven't already.
That's wonderful that you are finally meeting children. I know it's been a hard road but if your child is at the end of it then I'm sure it will be worth all the heartache along the way. You are so close now!
